Four Firm Partners Honored on 2023 Texas Super Lawyers List

By Weisbart Springer Hayes

Four Weisbart Springer Hayes attorneys Geoffrey D. Weisbart, Julie Springer, Sherrard “Butch” Hayes  and Sara Janes have again been recognized among the top legal practitioners in the state on the annual list of Texas Super Lawyers. Less than 5% of all Texas lawyers earn the annual honor from Thomson Reuters, based on nominations solicited from more than 70,000 practicing lawyers in Texas and a blue-ribbon panel of attorneys which assists with final selections.

Mr. Weisbart has been named to the list in the highly competitive practice area of Business Litigation each year since the publication’s launch in 2003. He is one of the state’s most respected courtroom advocates and has successfully represented an impressive roster of clients in matters involving substantial financial and business risks.

Mr. Hayes is recognized for his Employment and Labor Law expertise, and this represents his 17th consecutive year on the list. He has successfully tried dozens of Court and arbitration proceedings over his 31 years of practice.  He has recovered results for clients as high as eight figures representing plaintiff companies and executives, has engaged in litigation matters on the ground across the nation and on three continents, and has a success rate of over 90% in trials and arbitrations.  Mr. Hayes is a former Austin Federal Bar Association President and continues to try complex business and employment matters in federal, state, and territorial jurisdictions across the country.

Ms. Springer is honored in the area of Labor & Employment Litigation-Defense, marking the 12th consecutive year to be named to the list   She has represented clients and tried cases in federal and state courts and regulatory agencies throughout Texas and the United States. Ms. Springer is one of the few attorneys in the state who is Board Certified in both Labor & Employment Law and Civil Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.

Ms. Janes is named to the list for the eighth time in her career in the field of Appellate Law. She has successfully handled appeals in both state and federal courts for businesses in the health care, pharmaceutical and insurance industries, managing disputes involving labor and employment issues, contractual relationships, trade secrets and class actions.
